Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, and I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm him/herself, I will make every effort to enlist his/her cooperation to ensure safety. If he/she does not cooperate, I will take further measures without permission as provided by law to ensure client or other's safety.
Videotaping
There is an on site security monitoring system on the premises. You will be recorded in the parking lot and at the front reception door. However, no further videotaping will occur, although if you request this to happen it may be arranged.
